Hello Everyone,

When I am in the Tools|Reference window while looking at code I've noticed a .tlb files 'Location' is incorrect. I think this is my problem when I use the packaging wizard. I receive an error message: "Error loading dll". Of course it works fine with Northwind. I see the incorrect reference and try to update the reference by 'Browsing' where the file actually is(C:\Program Files\Common Files\system\ado\msado25.tlb) but the reference remains the same(pointing to my temporary USB drive, how that happened is anyone's guess). Since it's a .tlb I can't 'Unregister' it. It seems that I need an 'Installer/Uninstaller' to do this.
Is anyone aware of any way to update the Location reference in the Reference window?

If the only way you can reference it is by actually browse to the DLL, it is probably not properly registered on your development computer.

On your development machine, try to set the reference via the name of the library (e.g. "Microsoft Active Data Objects") instead of referencing by pointing to the DLL. If you don't see the name of the library, try doing an MDAC update, or register the DLL with regsvr32.
