OS Win98, I am trying to install Apache server on my machine, but alas the install file will not run. I've downloaded the latest versions of Windows installer, but it just won't work for me - I get as far as "Incorrect commandline parameters..."

Please help me.

Kindest regards.

If you are using the msi version, you shouldn't have to use anything on the command line. Apache is aready compiled with just about everything you're going to need. Just click on the .msi file and let it install by itself. You will be prompted for where you want the directories and other configuration info so it can setup httpd.conf. If you need to make changes later, you can always add modules or edit httpd.conf later.
