I've been having problems with color in InDesign. I was placing PSD images into my InDesign file, ans a second after they appeared, all the colors became muted. I later realized that all the placed documents had to be Tiff in order for the colors to appear correct in the preview. If a PSD file were to be placed in a page with correct color, all the color on that individual page would lose saturation as soon as it was placed, and then would return to normal when the non TIFF file was removed!

Although I got the preview color to appear correctly, using only Tiff images, my files still printed muted...

Does anyone know a way around this???

It does not appear that you want a way around this. You want a way through this. And this appears to be color profile management. Some of your files have color profiles and some do not. You may need consistency here.
