I inherited some old Paradox tables (*.db) and when I try to import them into Access 2003 I am getting the error "Incorrect collating sequence". Has anyone ever heard of this and how did they correct it?

is this when you open a form or a table and from what format did you convert it from

When I googled your error message "Incorrect collating sequence", I found this page, which seems to indicate that since the source is Paradox, you need the Borland Database Engine (BDE) installed in order to get the correct information imported to Access.

Here's another link ( about the paradox driver, have you installed that?
