Incorrect AP Accumulator Data

Greetings, All:

I believe that my Prior Year AP accumulator data is incorrect. It is looking like the PURCHASES LAST YEAR number is about twice what it should be. I need a way to confirm what those numbers should be.

I know that the data resides in the APOPNHST_SQL table. I'm just not certain what I need to look for within that table? Should I just be summing the amt field for V type transactions for a given vendor?

Any help would be appreciated.

Chris

Chris,

These accumulators will accumulate forever unless someone manually goes to processes at the end of the month/year and clears accumulators. So most likely this was never done.

These accumulator fields have far outlived their usefulness. These were put into Macola 7.5 back when the power user had a 486, and it took 6 hours to run a crystal report to get to the data. Now, this is a non-issue, the report will run in seconds.

Hello dgillz:

Thank you for the reply. I'm aware that unless cleared, the accumulators will keep doing just that, accumulating. The weird thing here is that the YTD statistics, while not exactly matching the Open Item History report, are very close.

If the accumulators weren't cleared, then wouldn't the prior year numbers be correct and the YTD numbers be way out of whack?

What I would like to do is write a SQL query that will tell me what the real numbers are and then repopulate those fields with the correct values.

We are running Progression SQL 7.6.300C, MSSQL 2000 on Win2K3 Server.

Thanks,

Chris
