I have a program that is so old it does not even run on our new computer at work. (it was written in DOS Gold Tree) Is it possible to do and incorporate the following? 1)I need a program to total work hours for a day & a week for a employee. This would search out any employee by a employee number.
2) That employee is on a team which needs to be totaled for a day & a week. 3) That report needs to be able to be printed. 4) Now it needs to be able to be saved for 2 years. 5) After the 2 years it can start to dump in order the oldest time sheet.
5) All of this has to be used with a password protection.
I have made a MS97 Excel spreedsheet for use right now.
I have only taken a intro course to Vb and a weekend class to MS97 Excel. I can see you can make the protection and employee number to be in Vb but can you then move into using Excel spreedsheet, and then where would you store it.
Or is there a simple program already available.

Thank you for any help!! [sig][/sig]

It is possible to do what you want. Do you know anything about 'References' in VB?? Do you know anything about ADO??

If you e mail me directly, swilliams@paragon.bm, you can ask more specific questions about your project.
