My employer wants to incorporate HTML, for layout & images, into some of our emails to clients. I've seen this done by Amazon.com and others but my experiments with simply pasting html code into an email as not meet with any success. Does anyone know of a website that has tutorials for doing this?

Many thanx in advance.

you need to specify MIME type in the header of the email. i can't give you the exact header you should write, but you can find out yourself. create an HTML-enhanced email (for example, in Outlook or Outlook Express) and then send it to yourself and look at the source of the email message.
I hope it helps. :)

In fact I looked up the headers for you:

From: &quot;Rydel&quot; <rydel23@yahoo.com>
To: <someone@belarus.com>
Subject: test
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
boundary=&quot;----=_The_Boundary_Should_Be_Unique_123&quot;

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

----=_The_Boundary_Should_Be_Unique_123
Content-Type: text/plain;
charset=&quot;iso-8859-1&quot;
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Your plain text message here

----=_The_Boundary_Should_Be_Unique_123
Content-Type: text/html;
charset=&quot;iso-8859-1&quot;
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

<HTML><HEAD>
</HEAD>
<BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff>
&nbsp;
<b>all the cool stuff</b><br>
<i>something different</i><br>
<a href=&quot;</BODY></HTML>

----=_The_Boundary_Should_Be_Unique_123

So this will work for mailto links? I will be able to put a link to the current URl, and stuff like that? :)
