Hi,
Had been running two SATA 40GB drives in Mirror mode but with decreasing free space decided to change to Stripe or Performance setup to double capacity. Installed the Promise 376/378 drivers and FastTrack program indicted that Stripe mode was established. Then used Acronis backup to restore contents of the C: drive. My Computer now shows that C: has only 34 GB capacity but during bootup FastTrack indicates 2+0 stripe 70 GB Functional. Would restoration of the former C: drive as it existed in mirror mode cause the drives still to be seen as having the capacity of just one drive? Thanks for any help.

Assuming you used Acronis True Image, it depends on what you did when you restored the partition. If you did not tell Acronis to resize the partition, then you will have a partition the same size as the original partition.

Disk Management (Start, Run..., diskmgmt.msc) should reveal what is going on. I suspect you will see the rest of your drive shown as unpartitioned.

Freestone,
You were so right. Many thanks for the assist.
