Hi,
Incase anybody had a chance to work on BHA
BrightStor High Availability 11.1, oracle 8i
1) If the replication is completed, and disaster strike the Primary server, and if it goes down, then the Oracle services, OracleOraHome81DataGatherer, OracleOraHome81TNSListener, and OracleserviceUBIS, these 3 services are started in the secondary
We were able to log on to the Oracle database now.
On the other Hand, when during synchronisation on the way, if disaster strikes the Primary server, and if it goes down, failover happens to the Secondary.
Then when we went to Secondary server to manually start the Oracle services, OracleOraHome81, Data Gatherer, OracleOraHome81TNSListener, and OracleserviceUBIS, these 3 services were not started automatically
But we found out we can’t login to the Oracle database.
WHY is this so?
So is it correct for us to say that due to the incomplete synchronisation, the Oracle database is not accessible?
Is there any way for us to access the previous database at the Secondary server which has a complete replication carried out in point Number 1 previously
Cheers
Sandyboy
