Hi everyone,
i am not sure. But i discovered a strange behaviour i am wondering about.
I create some icons and converted them to indexed gifs. To give all the same look i provided a palette of 256 colors and used it for the indexing.
Many of this icons use not the complete palette of this images. Convertion went fine and when i check the colormap all 256 different colors are avialable for further editing.
But if i close the images and open them sometime later to add sth e.g. the complete colormap as set by the index process is not avialable. I already deselected "Leave out unused colors", but this behaviour though occurs.
Anyone an idea whats the reason for this behaviour?
Thanks
p.s.: i use gimp under winXP not sure if this matters.
