Hello all;

I'm new to CR, and am working with data that has been accumulated by a non programmer. I need to link our dynamic data to our "tombstone data" (address, phone, etc), but the primary key in the former is a 9 digit numeric (integer). In the tombstone data it is a 9 character text field. Naturally I get an error when I try to establish the link.

Anybody have a solution for me?

Thanks

You can add the tombstone data in a subreport that is linked to the main report primary key using a formula:

tonumber({table.primarykey})

Or you could potentially use a command for your entire datasource where you link the tables by converting the primary key in the "From" statement of the query. The available function would depend upon your datasource.
