I have 2 MICS with 6.1 on both sides. I have PRI on both sides. When a call comes in over the PRI and it it hits Line #148 the call rings 2 times, then instead over going to the called person's mailbox, the caller goes to the general mailbox. When I call internally the call goes to the person's mailbox.

I need some ideas.

P&D

check prime set for the target line ...it shd be the set
build a mailbox with hte DNIS #
check redirect DN in the voicemail (assuming u have nam)

My prime set ...is the set
Keep in mind when I call internally the calls go to the right mbox. Do you think re-direct may have something to do w it? I doubt it.

what kinda voicemail u have?
there is a redirect setting in voicemail as well as the system - so internal calls alone can work

Is there anybody out there that has any ideas regarding this issue. I have doubts whether or not it is a voicemail problem.

P&D

Target lines is what you should be using they start at Lines 157.

yep target line 157 is the starting point in MICS6.1

what is hte redirect setting in teh voicemail?

What is your dialing plan- does DN number match sent digits, or are you using 221,222,223.

What is line 148 (like senks and hawks said, target at 157)

CHECK THIS PARAM- REDIRECT DN SHOULD BE OFF

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

Folks I believe I messed up. I am not sure the 2 sites r 6.1. What I do know is the 2 sites have PRI & that the DID with target trk 148 points to the specific extn.

The etn range match the I/C rec'vd digits. The mlbx answers w internal calls.

I am very unclear on the issue w the voicemail that senk1s are saying about redirect. I am not sure this is where the prblm is. How do the voicemail differentiate betw. & outside & inside call?

P&D

Hey ORWON,

Thanks for your response. I took the redirection in the capabilities off. Still nothing.

I just would like to make it clear, I do get the general grtg, not the individual's mbx.

Is it a 4.0 NAM /first time install? Perhaps you need the NAM patch.- That is what they are talking about for redirect- IT IS IN THE NAM, not T&S

Not first time install. Re-direct in the NAM? I do not get it.

Does not make any sense whatsoever. I am not with you. Please enlighten me.

phonesanddata, Also look at the settings for prime set of the actual 23 PRI lines, not just the target lines. This gets overlooked quite a bit.

MarvO said it

if you are a nortel/norstar vendor ...it should be pretty clr what marvo1 wrote

he says look at the prime set setting for the actual PRI lines either 1 thru 23 or 31 thru 53 ...
they must be None

Yes- all of this has been very clear. It sounds like you need to get a Nortel vendor out there. When I asked about first time install, I was not talking about you, I was asking if the NAM had ever been used before, and if it is a 4.0. There is a redirect problem with 4.0, which has been pointed out several times in this thread.

Jsut so you guys know. I found the answer to this prblm. My NAM required a patch. All fixed. Thankx for your probing & ideas.

that’s the redirect patch- For future reference: all that patch does is change the one setting (redirect) that was nmentioned above .
