Incoming messages disappear in Outlook 2007

Outlook 2007 running under Vista Home Premium. There are three accounts set up with three different In Boxes. All three work fine except that incoming messages from two accounts "disappear" after precisely one month whereas the third stays (years) or until deleted.

How do I make the other two boxes retain messages until they are no longer required?

Have a look at View, Current View.... is a custom view defined? Or anything other than 'Messages' selected?
 
I'm remote from the machine in question right now, but will look to see what is set under View. I see there is mention of a 'Last Seven Days' option under Define View but no 'Month' as such.

Both the accounts in question show received e-mails back to 19th Feb 2009, and nothing before.

Smah, any other guidance would be very helpful before I go back to the machine, which will probably now be next week. Thanks.

The only other thing that comes to mind are the autoarchive settings (which can be configured differently for each folder).
