Hello,

In our company there is a laptop user with the following problem:
when he replicates to download/send his email (with the modem), all new messages appear in his all documents folder in stead of his inbox! He is not running agents that can cause this. When I look in his inbox on the notes server, everything looks OK. When we did a test via the modem in our office it worked OK. Now he is in Luxembourg and the problem is there again (in the past he had this problem already with Notes 4.6.3 and after upgrading to Notes 5.04
and a new created replica of his mailbox on his laptop (with Win95B) it seemed to work fine, but now he is on business trip and the problem came back!
Any idea what this can be?

Greetz,

Arjan

When you move to R5.0 from R4.6 did you upgrade his mailfile?

Get the user to right-click on an empty space on the workspace of Notes.

Select WORKSPACE PROPERTIES.

Go to the 2nd tab (the one that looks like a hat with a propeller coming out of it)

Click on COMPACT.

Wait for it to finish compacting...

Right-click on the local copy of the mail file.

Select REPLICATION, HISTORY, CLEAR...then DONE

Do the same for the server copy (Clear Replication History)

Close Notes.

Find a file called CACHE.DSK

Delete it.

Restart Notes

Get the user to send a mail to themselves. When sending, DO NOT SAVE THE MESSAGE (as this will appear in black when received) - use the SEND ONLY option.

The message should come through in the INBOX and should appear red.
