Incoming Mail

We just recently started using Exchange for about 2 months now and
everything was working fine until yesterday. We cannot receive
incoming smtp mail. Outgoing is fine and so is internal mail.

When I telnet to the server on port 25, it comes back with 'Not ready
to receive mail.....'.

How do I check if another third party smtp software is using port 25?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check your services are running correctly.

What has changed? Identify that first. Did you reboot?

Check the SMTP service is disabled.
