Hi I have upgraded a few 8.0 installs recently to 8.1.67 and have found we now have issue that when the main switchboard is busy on a call and they want to transfer the call to another user and they have another call ringing on the phone, the call gets put on hold automatically. Its weird.

Yes we have VoIP in Cape Town

Please explain more clearly, all the references to "call" confused me :)

Sorry.

Switchboard has a call ring on it. They answer the call and while she is talking a second call rings on the board. Now she wants to transfer call to another user. The calls either get conferenced together it gets put on hold and answers the second call automatically.

make sure that there are spare appearance buttons on the phone.
Or it is a bug in the release, one that I think was there before that calls get conferenced together

Yeah there are appearances available. These are sites that have been working for a while but all I did was upgrade to 8.1.67

I just tried it with internal calls and it works without a hitch

do your incoming calls come to a group?

if you could specify exactly what you are using then I can try and recreate it here and tell you if it works on my system.

Tested here, 6408D+ phone connected to VM (I know it is an old phone but I love these old things)
2410 phone calls 6408D+
6408D+ transfers vm call to 9641 or 1416

all works as it should
