Incoming email not being delivered.

Email had been working fine. This morning we came in and any email sent from outside of the company is not being delivered. Out going email and email that is just internal is working fine.
We see it come in through GWIA, it passes through the GWIA/RECEIVE directory and is never to be seen again. Does anyone know what could be happening or at least give us some ideas on where to look next.
We have rebooted the server several times, but to no avail. To the best of our knowledge nothing happened overnight to cause this.

shutdown the gwia MTA, rebuild the internet datadbase, all will be fine.
