Hi Guys,

We have issues with incoming calls of DID, If callers call the direct number of the extension, the call will landed to the main line instead of going directly to the extension.

Mainline: 04 272 0000
DID of extension: 04 272 0123 where incoming call route destination extension is 123.

When caller from outside calls 04 272 0123, the call is landed to the mainline (04 272 0000).

This is for Avaya IP office 500V2 R11.0. Trunk type is PRI.

Si there something wrong with the config?

run a monitor trace and see what number is coming in to the IPO. Also check to make sure you have the correct incoming call group programmed to the ICR.

Usually when I build the incoming call route I use the whole number. Most of our providers can send anything from 4 to 10 digits. Even if out LEC is only sending 4 digits it will route by right to left.

If your LEC is sending 4 digits and you are using 3 for routing you won't get an exact match and it will route to the default route.

Thanks for the inputs.

@budbyrd is correct, it was a number matching issue. The provider use 7 digits only. I updated my ICR to match of what the provider used and it resolves the issue.

Your welcome.
