I have a partner plus R4.1 with a R4.0 vs mail.
Incoming calls ring at various extentions but not at the ext #10 the receptionist 18-D phone. Any Ideas to get me started looking in the right place. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thank you Tagman2005

Check to see if station 10 is set to ring on incoming calls. From station 10 (system program phone), while on hook, press feature button dial 00, press the left intercom button twice, press the right intercom button once, dial 10 (for station 10). At this point if any of the incoming lines are flashing fast they are set to no ring. If they are flashing slow they are set to delay ring. If any of the lines are on steady (green light on)then the line ine set to ring. So if any are flashing push each line button until all have steady lights on. Press the Feature button and dial 00 to exit programming mode. Call in and test phone.
Try this for starters.

If station 10 has a DND button programmed. Make sure it is no activated. Light should be off.

thanks for your response doc. I tried checking ext 10 as you suggested and all three lines are solid green no flashing. so I feature 00 out.
Also when incoming calls come in and I try to awnser from #10 I get an auto dial sounds like seven digits as it picks up the call. hope that makes sense.

Are all the other phones work O.K. when you answer calls? Is this problem happening only on station 10? Try a system Reset. Power down system wait 15 sec. then power back up.
Try changing out the phone to see if problem is in the phone itself or in the Port.
If this problem is on all the phones, you may have Long Distance auto dialers connected between your phone system and your telephone Lines at the D-mark. By pass the dialers.

Your Ext. 10 is programmed into Hunt Group 7, where only Voice Mail ports should reside.
