When calls are transfered to a certain person's extension, if he isn't there the calls are automatically transfered back to the receptionist instead of going through to his VM. How can I change that?

What system and software do you have? The fwd no answer in Capabilities needs to be set to the first port of the vmail (F985) then go under system programming, feature assign, set the transfer call back timer to 10ish.

I (the main answering telephone) have an M7324 and the person in question has an M7208. The unusual thing is, we've got two telephone lines, a direct one and one that I answer. Through the direct line it is possible to reach his mailbox, but when I transfer people the phone at his desk rings and then it gets bounced back to me instead of to his mailbox.

Yes it will do that you will need to get into system programming and change the transfer call back timer.

From your phone, press Feature * * 266344, Password: 266344. Tell me what you see? MRoberts
