Incoming Call Routing

At a customer site, they route outgoing local calls through a COT trunk group. It's outpulsing the trunk number through caller ID. When outside callers return the call using the number on their caller ID, it rings at a specific DN. What the customer wants to do is have the calls ring at another DN. They're not using a console, nor do they have a phone setup as such. How would I go about making this change, and where do I start? Thanks In Advance.

PerryPJ, that isn't the issue as I've already had them do that with their T1. What happens is that ANY incoming call on the COT's ring at the one specific DN. They want it to ring at another DN.

Is the COT on a PRI, DTI or copper delivery?

without an att. you might want use that number in your idc table, ld 49.. that will let you change the incoming number for any did. you'll need to apply it to the inbound route, for both niight and day, since your switch is always in nite without a console.. the number can remain the same on the phone for internal calls

My apologies for not answering back sooner, the COT's are configure through DTI, and I do see that "0" is defined as the ATDN. But when a call is place out on these trunks, the CLID info isn't the DN that the incoming calls go to.

the number on the called party display is either added at the co or in a clid table. Is it a number in your did range, or is it a pot's number that is inboud for some other purpose.. find the route it is coming in on and trace it.. either your cdb or rdb is telling it where to go. you can have the number changed at the provider if it's a feature you pay for. you can change it yourself if it's in your clid table. either way you'll need to do a few trac commands to locate it.
