I have an ip500 v2 with R8 and embedded voicemail. The incoming call route is set to go to a hunt group then overflows to AA. Occasionally the incloming call goes directly to voicemail, never goes to hunt group or AA. Any ideas what is causing this?

Thanks!

Sometimes if the switch and the hunt group are the same name it will do this :)

You misunderstand how the system works I reckon, there is no default way to ring a group then go to an attendant with essential edition, the only way to do it is with shortcodes and forwarded users, if you have done this it's probably not done correctly. The fallback destination in ICR is not for this btw :)

Hairless - What do you mean by the switch?

Amriddle - I simplified the programming for the post -----I programmed the ICR to go to a hunt group. The hunt group overflows to another hunt group with one member, a phantom extension. Using a shortcode, the phantom extension is uncondtionally forward to the auto attendent. Sorry for the confusion.

how many channels of embedded vm do you have on this.
Theory is that if the AA can't pick it up then it goes to nowhere or as soon as the channel becomes free it might just go to the mailbox instead of the AA.
Check in SSA the congestion count on the vm channels.

Not sure if that works that way or if I am just way off.
