Hello

I've had many reports and experienced myself and 1 out of every 2 calls to a particular number ring busy.

I've traced the calls and on the busy - I get:
"active trunk-group 2 member 5 cid 0x11c"
"busy trunk-group 2"

On a good call, no busy - the trace reads:
"active trunk-group 2 member 6 cid 0x15e"
"dial 4200"
"term vector 22 cid 0x15e"
etc....continue processing...

trunk members are not busy, not engaged - all free, no errors on list meas, no blockage stats....etc....
Is this a problem with my trunks, or with the vendor?

thanks!
Wendi

Hi,
What type of the trunk you have? (analog CO or ISDN)
Some international ISDN calls need to have the first vector step like:
01 wait-time 2 sec hearing ring-back

it force the incoming call become a prior-answer mode ...
If no effect- please come back here :)

Hi ,
Presume we're talking outbound ? id so check your with your carrier as it might be a problem in their exchange.
if it is inbound add the ring back line to your vector as posted earlier that will solve it ,
regards

Hi

Thank you very much for your replies. Calls are inbound, I should have clarified. Trunk is a did. The vector had a wait 2 sec hearing silence, so I changed that to ringback.

Also had called the carrier yesterday - have not heard if they found anything on their end yet.

Thanks again for the assistance!
