Hi,

I have a customer with the below issue

Hardware:
Site 1 is an opt61, x21, cpp4, rls 5, issue 00w
Site 2 is an opt81, x21, cpp4, rls 5, issue 00w
They are networked using MCDN.

Symptoms:
Incoming call on Analogue COT line to ATTN in site 1 needs to be transferred to extn in site 2.
Call is transferred to phone on site 2 but call remains visible on ATTN console.
When I track the call on the console it shows as on hold. ATTN can interrupt the call at any point. Call remains visible on console until one end has hung up.
Incoming calls on PRIs to ATTN in site 1 are transferred successfully to extn in site 2(i.e. does not remain visible on the console)

I tried outing the analogue lines & configuring them as follows, along with the tracking of the call on the console:

I cannot find anything on Nortel.com about this.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated as this is impacting the roll out of networked voicemail which is hosted on site 2 and I am all out of ideas.

Thanks

You have them as LOOP trunks and with SUPV (YES), there isn't any SUPV on LOOP trunks.
you need to get the TELCO to change them to GRD and change them in the PBX to GRD.

Grd trunks don't work well with PBX's as there isn't any SUPV and that is why the ATT doesn't drop out of the Loop, if the ATT did drop out the call would also be dropped.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

i assume you meant loop trunks.. and your using loop start, pulse (non-dtmf) with trunk hook flash denied... no they will not do a clean transfer...ever

you need grd or wnk, dtmf thfa.. and that requires a change on your switch as well as the provider
