Can you include and / or exclude data for Cross tabs and charts
Some of my charts have too much data for one chart and I wanted to split the data to several charts.

Hi Boardgamer

Crosstabs
You can use specified order in a crosstab to hand pick the items you want to see. You can also do a top N option to just see the best/worst.

Charts
By using the Advanced option under the data tab you can do the same and use specified order here to to hand pick certain customers or products for example. You can also do a top N here to.

Additionally by placing the crosstabs or charts within groups they can just show you the information for the group below.

It really depends on what you want to do.

I need more clarification. My specific problem is that I have a chart with too many values along the x-axis (horizontally) and I would like to split then into 3 charts. How would I do that? I cannot find that data tab you refered to in the charts. I do not understand how using specific order can be used to exclude data. I am using XI [ponder]

In order to have more control on the chart you need to change the chart from being based directly on the groups.
Rightclick the chart and select the chart expert.
Goto the data tab. If your chart is based on the group switch to the advanced option on the left.

You now need to add your category field to the right and your value field to the bottom.

Once you add your category field you will be able to click the order button and select specified order from the sorting. Here you will be able to pick the items you want.

Now you can copy this chart and paste it twice. Then choose different items for the other two charts.
