Hi,

Is there a way I can systematically include the run date in the report instance title?

So for example, a weekly report instance title might look like...

Report instance 1..."aaaaaaaaaaa 2009-08-07"
Report instance 2..."aaaaaaaaaaa 2009-08-15" and so on.

I'm not overly concerned about the date format (assuming this is feasible). Just about any date format should work so long as it can be easily understood by the recipient.

Thanks in advance!
Chris.

The only way I know of to do this is to run the report to a different format - Excel, PDF, etc. In the CMC or in the Scheduling screen you can set the specific name and include a "template" for the date as part of the name. This will pick up the run date of the report.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

If there is some form of timestamp in the database, you can include that in the Report Header. Put in the text box with the text you want and drag the timestamp field in and format it.

The OP wanted the date in the Instance Title in InfoView either Crystal Server or BusinessObjects Enterprise. Your solution is correct for putting it in the header of the the report itself, but it doesn't get it to display in the title in InfoView.
