My inbox takes about 5 minutes to load up. The network connection is fine and once inbox has loaded up it works at a normal speed.
Opening the mailfile up on another PC in the same office doesnt take 5mins.
I have tried removing the cache.ndk, bookmark.nsf, desktop6.ndk and names.nsf and still have the same problem.

Does anyone have any ideas??

How many documents do you have in your Inbox ?
What version are you working on (server and client) ?
What is the CPU speed and type on your PC ?
How much memory do you have on your PC ?
Is your Windows swap file large enough ?
Is your PC hopelessly outdated, or it it a top-of-the-line number cruncher ?

It would help to have some more details like that :).

Pascal.

The inbox has around 50 emails, approx 20mb in size.
Domino Server 6, running client 6.5.
100mbp network connection.

PC is a brand new Dell PC, not sure of exact CPU speed, but has 256 RAM, and 40gb hard disk. Its not the PC specification that is the problem I dont think.

50 mails with attachments. That should not strain the system - unless you have the preview pane open, in which case there is more than 20MB of data coming your way before you can view the index.

I agree that you PC should not be the problem if it is new. But those attachments hint strongly that a preview pane is involved. What is your preview pane status ?

Pascal.

Preview Pane is disabled, its just the standard mailbox view.
