I have a SIP trunk that works fine for inbound and outbound.

However on inbound calls the phones display shows- callers CLI:Anonymous>Huntgroup name.

Why does it say anonymous, and how do I stop it?

Thanks

I guess your provider does not send the CLI to you.
Use monitor to see if that is the case.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

They must do as that is the first field I see- the CLI, followed by the word anonymous followed by the group it terminates on.

Ok misread that part :)

Do you have a sip uri ?
Do you have used the sip uri on the sip trunk or on the group ?
Do you have an incoming call route configured ?

Hi,

Yes I have a uri, i have used the uri on the trunk, and yes I have an ICR.

I just cant see where this is coming from.

I haven't seen it myself so i am guessing :)
Do you see it in the sip trace?
If yes then provider if not then ipo.

EpoUser08,

Not all SIP providers send the name, lots charge a few dollars extra for it. You should call your sip provider and inquire befire you spend too much more time looking at the IPO.
