Inbound Requests blocked?

I'm at a total loss on this. Been trying to fix it for days with no results. I have a Windows 2000 SP4 Server that runs Web, FTP, and Exchange services. Everything was great till last Friday. No inbound connections work. I get no emails, my sites from external connections time out, and I can't connect to my FTP server. Only known change I made was to add IMF to my Exchange server. I removed it once I started having problems but that made no difference. I am using a BEFSX41 version 2 router, and I have checked it for any flaws... Nothing wrong in there so I went ahead and updated its firmware. Still not working... I can not for the life of me figure out what could be blocking in the inbound requests... I can send email out just fine. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Final note, I run no firewall type software on the server itself.

Thanks!

From externally, can you telnet via port 25 to your Exchange server?

No I am unable to telnet via port 25 to the server.

That sounds like a router or firewall issue.

I removed the server from the router and plugged straight into my broadband connection. No change in results. Ports are not blocked by ISP.

My bad, I can telnet it on port 25 and port 80. So it appears the connection is fine.

I stopped all Exchange related services to see if that was causing the connection issues, but still not able to connect to the server. What else could be causing all the sites to timeout?

Goto DNSstuff.com and see how your DNS records fare.... host, MX, etc. Are you on any blacklists there?

Start, Help. You'll be surprised what's there. A+/MCP/MCSE/MCDBA

btw, I just made that IP address up, so I don't know where it goes, even though it doesn't appear to go anywhere.

I don't appear to be on any blacklist. My DNS servers show up on that website.

I have tried using the IP to test the connection. It times out just as using the domain name.

From internally, can you telnet over port 25 to the servers' internal address?

Pat Richard, MCSE(2) MCSA:Messaging, CNA(2)

Yes from internal I can connect to the server either by name or IP.
