From time to time we receive reports of harrasing calls. Many times we are able to identify the number through ANI. Is there a way to temporary block the inbound number while we investigate? I am familiar with ARS routing but that only allows me to restrict outbound dialing.

Current PBX systems: V10.1 and S8710

Thanks

troubleman1,

if you have vectoring (ani) option, you can create a vector for checking these anis against vector route table and route them accordingly (to announcement, etc). but the complete solution would be to install call recording system. this way you would have full information: who called, when, which agent answered and what actually has been said. the recording can even be a proof of guilty in a court, if your local law allow it.
