We stopped receiving inbound email from external addresses stopped. However, all internal email works fine and outbound email works well. There is nothing that sticks out in event viewer that clearly points to the problem and i am able to telnet to port 25 on my server. Does anyone have any ideas?

from where? Internally?
What happens when you telnet to the server from an external address? Where do the MX records point? (verify!) What's the firewall port forwarding look like? Any firewall changes?
