G'day

We just had CLI (Caller ID) turn on and now I have a slight problem.

When we did not have CLI our 2050 IR would display the Company that was called as per out DDI ie AMCE Co 356. Now what is displayed is the number of the person calling and not the in-dial that they called. I do have a need of the CLI with several planed projects but for the most part I would like the handset to display the "AMCE Co 356" This serves as a nice backup should our software fail to pick up the correct information.

I would like to know how to get the old display with CLI..

I did not make any configuration change to the system and only had the CLI turn on.

As always thanks for any help you can give me

Cheers

Rich

I am a very unsatisfied user of the IP Office system and may have the answer for you. We installed an AT&T PRI as we were told by our AVAYA dealer that the PRI would supply caller ID on the new system. It did but only the caller's number. Seems AT&T doesn't dip into the national data base that associates caller number to name etc.. AT&T said that there is no feature or add-on to correct this issue. Possibly this may be your issue?

Try entering the CLI number displayed on the phone into the IP Office's Directory and add the name required. This should give you a name display again.

Also makes that name available in the Phone Manager directiry and INDeX function on display phones for outgoing calls.
