Hello all,

I am sure there could be a ton of things that could cause this issue, kind of looking for ideas where to start.

Our Night Call Flows are front ended by an Auto Attendant (VM Pro on Application Server, R11.1.0.1.0 Build 95)

I have a SIP Trunk and ASBCE

I would say 50% of the test calls are perfect, and the other 50% cut off the first word or two of the greeting.

Thoughts?

Rerecord the greeting with 2-3 seconds before speaking. Trust me, the 50% that work will never know the difference. The simplest solution is usually the best.

budbyrd: Thought about that. They are professional recordings, so I may just place a dead air recording of One seconds or so above the main greeting.

enu\907.wav is 2 seconds of silence. I usually put this before recordings when I run into this issue.

A classic practical demonstration of what I refer to as "Universal Plan B", When all else fails CHEAT!

it has proven so sucsessfull many installers have promoted it to Plan A

@ IPGuru.... Great criticism... Do you actually have a solution? Sometimes a work around is the solution. Ask Avaya.... They don't usually offer solutions... Only work arounds.... [thumbsup2]

I’m pretty sure Avaya only supports work arounds, not solutions.

This was NOT intended as a critisisum

I am a firm believer in the KISS principle & sometimnes works arrounds like this are the cleanest & simplest solution.

In this casse, assuming that keep alives are enables on the Lan interface, The issue is probably with the sip provider & there will be no clean solution.

I believe if you put # before the auto attendant name in the Short code, it would make one ringback before going to the AA.

Getting my ASBCE locked down seemed to resolve the issue. I can’t duplicate it any more.
