We currently do not have Inbound Caller ID service installed, so when an outside call comes in, the display reads 7100. How can I program the system so that it displays Outside Call?

Thanks!

You can goto LD 95
NEW
NAME
then enter until you get the DN promptm then put in 7100
then at the NAME prompt, enter what you wish eg. "Outside Call"

Thanks absinthium! That was something that should have been obvious for me, but I never would have thought of that one! When you do program up a name for it, will it still show the acod and trunk member of the call though? Just for curiosity's sake.

We have CLID, but im pretty sure it does show the Route and Trunk. It does for us now if i put an external call on hold and resume it. There is a way you can display the CPND name and -------- as the number, but im not sure how to do it at this time..

CNID/CNIA most likely? I know what you're talking about as far as showing hyphens or "x"'s for the digits. I'm sure I'll find it soon enough.

Thanks,
Arch
