Folks, I have a UCX50e deployed over five buildings via VPN. One building wants to send one inbound analog trunk to ring a group. Presently, all inbound calls ring into Group 601. They want to use ALL trunks for outgoing. I built 602 and sent the inbound truck in question to that group, however, it still rings into 601 and not 602. What am I missing please?

Did you use the PSTN Trunk DIDs page to define a DID for the trunk you want to send to the second ring group? Is this DID the same as the one you used for the inbound route that will route the call to the second ring group?

yessir and yessir they are the same

....then it should work. Go to the Support - System Log Files page, call that trunk, display the last ~ 200 lines of the log and review the information. You should see there info about the incoming call on the DAHDI trunk, the DID that was assigned to it (based on the PSTN Trunk DIDs configuration), the inbound route that was selected based on the DID and the destination (ring group) that was used based on the inbound route. If unsure about the data you see in the log, you might post the log lines for the inbound call here to get a specific explanation.

after setting up the PSTN Trunk DID, did you edit the dahdi-channels.conf file?
Quoted from the PSTN Trunk DID page:
"For these settings to take effect, the context used for these channels must be set to from-analog in the file dahdi-channels.conf (context=from-analog)."

Thanks guys. I'll check on these tonite after hours w/customer.
