I have a request to print a booklet I am designing (150+ half-letter size pages) two up, backed up, so they can cut once and have two complete booklets, rather than cut each booklet. I'm sorry if this is confusing... it was to me as well when they were explaining it. :)

Can anyone tell me if I can do this with InBooklet and how I would tell it to?

..inbooklet is limited, you will need imposer pro to be able to have a true 2 up scheme with any real flexibility...

...they are asking a lot from the free inbooklet plugin that comes with indesign...

...the best you can probably do is to use inbooklet to create a single imposed sheet and then export these as pdf or eps files, set up a bigger sheet size and import them back into a new documents picture box manually and perfectly lined up...

It's hard to understnad this. I assume you used half letter as the page size. If so there should be nothing to do except set up a 2 up saddle stitch in inbooklet se and make the book. The only "cut" would be any trimming at the printer of the folded over letter size sheets that it would be printed on.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

...my understanding of it was that he wanted, for example, 2 covers on the same printed sheet, this as far as i can tell is not possible with inbooklet se...

...a two up, foldable saddle stitch, 8 page text isn't seemingly possible with inbooklet se...

...a much longer route is required, unless he had access to a more flexible imposition package...

...inbooklet takes 2up to mean 2 pages per sheet and not 2 x 2 page spreads...
