I have a TDE600 with a V-SIPEXT32 card in it. I also have a V-IPEXT32 card for regular Panasonic telephones.
I want to add a SIP conferencing software package on the system, so that people can call into an extension on the system and create an in house conference. Such as using:
However, I am finding that Panasonic must strip out inband DTMF on the SIP and VOIP extensions. For example, if I call from a KX-NT346 (VOIP) to a KX-T7633 (older DPT phone) phone on the system and I dial a DTMF, I don't hear it on the T7633. It is stripped out, and vice versa it does the same thing.
So, when I call the conference bridge software it cannot hear me try to dial in my virtual conference room PIN. This is the problem!
Does anyone know how to fix this? Going up in our local support chain and I am getting no response, they don't want to address it since this is not first party software.
There are other things that get stripped when you go from extension to extension. For example, if you call into a ICD group and there is music on hold the IP phones do not hear it, they hear a locally generated warble. All in the name of saving bandwidth I am sure. However, there are times you don't want to save bandwidth and you want to present a certain image.
