I need to write a crystal report for Progression designating customer ship-to's as inactive or active based on if anything has been shipped to that address in the past year. An active ship-to would be one which has had an OE order delivered to in the past year. Inactive one would be one with no orders in the past year. Just looking for a general approach to do the above using Crystal. Any ideas?

Orders or Shipments?

Are you using SQL or Pervasive?

What if no alternate address code was used? Do you still want to designate the primary address as active or inactive?

I guess I would want to include orders also as that would indicate if the customer was active

On the last question, I hadn't thought of that.. I guess if no alternate was used, would want to go against the primary address...
Thanks

OK this is not a quick and easy report, but doable. You need to look at the OEINQORD_SQL table, at the ord_fg field, which will be either O for open, H for history or B for both (meaning the order has backorders).

Based on that value, write a view to get the max(entered_dt)from either the OEORDHDR or ORHDRHST tables.

Finally I would write the crystal against the view, but I sure wouldn't want to try this in Pervasive unless you are on at least v9. What version are you on?
