Hello All, this is my first post so I will apologize up front if I break protocol or etiquette. If I do, please let me know right away. Now on to the problem.

I am installing a new BCM 400 release 4.0. I've gone through the initial program setup, set up all the busses as per Nortel's recommendations. Configuration is as follows:
Bus 2 DSM32+ set for double density in expansion chassis
Bus 3 DSM32+ set for double density in expansion chassis
Bus 4 offset 0 GATM4 in expansion chasis
Bus 5 DSM32+ set for double density in main chassis
Bus 6 DTM set for PRI in main chassis
Bus 7 DTM set for PRI in main chassis
In telephony resources, all the modules appear as they should but when I list the inactive DNs, it still shows extensions assigned to bus 6 and 7. This is my first 4.0 so I'm not sure if this is a problem or not but trying to cross connect is a a bit of a problem. Do I just ignore theses assigned ports and renumber the DNs if I want to use them?
Also under the Administration tab in the hardware inventory section, the only modules that show up correctly are the PRI cards. I would expect to see 6 modules listed but only 4 are there. The PRI's are listed correctly
and so is the GATM4 and it looks like only one of the DSM's is listed and the module type is listed as unknown. Is this a real problem or just the way Nortel has set this thing up now?
I'm under a lot of presure to cut this thing over but I need to make sure that it's set up properly before I continue. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

First off just a suggestion keep all your DSM32 in order bus 2,3,4 and ASM8 in bus 5 this will keep your extention in sequential order for example digital sets 221-285. with your current configuration it will go something like this digital 221-264, analog 265-284, digital 285-301 or something along those lines. Second it is not uncommon to see this bus as unequiped until a digital set is connected to the bus.Once this occurs you can go back to telephony recources and you will notice it reads correctly.Make sure you set all your busses to the correct type/ station or trunk modules as well as change your DTI interface from loop to pri.

Thanks for you response 56BelAir. The issue I am having is my bus 6 and 7 are configured as PRIs but when I list the inactive DNs it still shows extension numbers assigned to these busses and I don't know if this is normal or not. I would expect these ext numbers to not even be listed but that's only because my expertise is on the M1.
