I have a phone (a VP of course) that came in this morning to a dead phone. When I look it up in the BCM 400, it is not listed under Active Sets and is under Inactive DN's. The physical set is completely dead, according to the users at that site. Is there something I can do to activate this phone and get it going again? Thanks.

Make sure set relocate is off then have them test another phone, if still dead then cable/wire issue as cook states.

We have tested with another phone and its still dead. I figured it would end up a cabling/dead equipment issue, but I wanted to see if there was some sort of disable/enable feature for these like on the Option 11. I didn't know if this was a possible fix. Thanks.

The Norstar has an enable and disable under Maintenence under that port number....you could try it however I doubt it will work, the Norstars are not designe to disable like the Options.
If states enabled then disable and renable.

If u have a toner stick it in the jack to verify continuity. If no light tone it back to the comm rm. Could be a bad BCM port, bad cable pair on set run, defective jack, defective line cord, a puuled cross-connect, or someone/something (rat)could have cut/chewed the cable.
