This is a problem I've run across frequently, but no one in the Acrobat forum on the Adobe site has a clue.
We get files in from publishers occasionally (the present one is in New Baskerville Roman) in which the font looks fine viewed in close-up, but when one zooms out to 150% or less, the individual letters become differently-sized--for example, an r is almost half the size of an o.
Not sure if this is because of cheapo fonts, the way the PDF was created, or what. Sure would like to know, though. Somebody somewhere must have run across this before. We've viewed these files in 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0, and they all do it.
Any idears?
thanks,
Tom
If is is as was was then will be won't be then and is will be is as is was.
