Inaccessible LUNs DS8100 1

Hi Guys

Please help.

Our unix guys are having problems accessing quite a number of LUNs from some VIO servers. They say that "the LUNs are visible, but I can't open them". The LUNs have no data on them yet so I de-presented and re-presented one of them and the VIO server was rebooted but no change.

I would much appreciate your help.

I'd have the UNIX guys check that all the DS8000 multipath drivers (either MPIO with SDDPCM or SDD) are installed and up to date on the VIO servers.

It turns out that the LUNs had been depresented from some clients and represented to new ones so there was a mixup somewhere with the LUN ids. Since there was no data on them, I deleted and recreated the LUNs and it is all ok now.
