After rebooting a terminal server running windows server 2000 due to a long power outrage resulted BOD with a message inaccessible boot device. The configuration is hardware mirror- RAID 1.
Since this is a RAID1 configuration any idea to solve this problem.

the power outage may have damaged the MBR...

use the Recovery Console to fix the mbr, and boot files...

How to use the Windows recovery console.

fixmbr and fixboot should be the commands to use...

if one of the drives is damaged, then you may have to take one of them out as per the following article and reconvert it to a single disk...

How to non-destructively convert dynamic disks to basic disks

WARNIG!

make an IMAGE of the DRIVE before you do any repairs, just in case it goes wrong!!!

Only ask questions with yes/no answers if you want "yes" or "no"

Any idea of how to make the image of the drive since is not booting to windows.

Acronis boots off the CD, and even the old Ghost will boot off a floppy.

Just for kicks - did you try unplugging one of the raid drives and then booting and then switching drives that was unplugged and try booting again??? Most likely, both drives are sufffering from the same MBR issue or it would have booted, but easy to do this test.

Sounds like you might need professional help. If you don't fully understand what you are going to need to do in terms of making a reliable image backup (to CYA) or fixing the MBR, don't proceed. Stuff can go south real fast.

It's great to try to do things yourself, but sometimes you end up dropping an anvil on your foot and that hurts worse than getting professional help. Asking "how to" in a forum will not make you competent instantaneously. Just sayin', not hatin'.
