Hi everyone.

Is it possible to create a global header? This would be where I could create multiple reports that all have the same header (rather than recreating it every time).

I know this question must have come up before, but I don't see anything specific to this. On one of my searches, the answer was to create an image of the header, and just copy this header into the other reports.

If this method is the best practice, I'm ok with that. I just didn't know if there is a better (or more efficient) way.

Thanks.

Several options:

a) Create a generalised report with the header set up. Make several copies, use these for new reports.

b) Use the 'template' function in Crystal, which actually imposes a style on an existing report. Useful if you use fancy lay-out.

c) Use copy-and-paste to copy the relevant fields. This may include formula fields you don't display: have them on a suppressed section.

It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options.
