Hi,
There is an option in useradd and usermod -- "- o (This option allows the specified UID to be duplicated (non-unique)", my question is when I can use this option? or, I want to know in which situation this option will be useful?

tks

Never used it myself, but I guess where you want a group of users to have access to certain areas and files with equivalent permissions as 'owner', rather than (the more common) 'group'.

Someone else might be able to give a real-world example of this.
