In the market for an e-commerce system

Hello all-

My boss has decided that he wants to buy an online shopping cart program and has asked me to do some research.

What I am wondering is what programs people have worked with and their ease of setup, maintence, ect. This way I have some names that the industry thinks are good to use as a start point for my more in depth research.

I know a few people who use Actinic and they rate it highly. It does cost though. A free solution would be OSCommerce and I have heard good things about that as well.
