In reply to SuperTech2010 (Programmer) regarding CIL LOST

When the PCM links had had unforeseen problem and even after the links' recovery, it seems that the alarm 278 on CLOP still spans over multiple Lims but the Call Billing System however still able to receive the delayed and new call data but in a very very slow manner over the IP network. (also see additional entry from VJ at 21 oct 2009 at the end of this post.

Solution:
1. Close/Exit the external Call Billing application.
2. RFPUI:UNIT=CLOM,LIM=xx (Lim 8 here in which the NIU interfaces the external Call Billing Application);
3. RFBOI:BPOS=the said NIU board;
4. BLDBE:BPOS=the said NIU board;
5. Run the external Call Billing application.

After the steps, all previously buffered and new CIL data are thrown to Call Billing System in a fast manner without any delay and alarm 278 would be recovered.

If the same alarms happens again and again, check the medium (cables or microwave links) connecting the Lims to the Group Switch.

Additional Cause:
The said alarm may also be caused by CILHDU hang, the solution still the same but the board to be restarted is the NIU where the CILHDU is on, in our case 1-0-60
