I am new to Symposium scripting.
Our customer has a requirement whereby they want a caller to hear in the in-queue message, even though the call is ringing the agents phone. So basically the caller is to hear the announcements right up until the agent actually answers the call.
I don't think this is possible, as the call would have been removed from the queue....? Is this correct?

Any advise/suggestions is much appreciated.

Thanks

Jimbo

I can't think of a way using symposium to do this, it may bepossible on the Meridian itself.
How about the customer actually gets their staff to answer the phone instead?
I think that this technique is called customer care !

Thanks for that Stu - I did mention this, but the agents do 'other stuff' as well as answering the phone.
I didn't add the other item customer required - a warning tone that there is a call in the queue.
Symposium GRTD should be able to do this.
But if the customer comes back with they want their agents to be given a tap on the shoulder when a call is in the queue.....
Thanks again
Jimbo

Yes GRTD can be made to beep. One they may like is to have the display flash, that really get attention.
You may like to point out, if they are away from the desk, then put the phone on Nt Ready. It will then not get presented to the agent in the first place!
This sounds like management who can't manage, so need something to bail them out! Don't worry I have to deal with this sort of thing all the time.
Oh well we are just slaves to their desires. Roll on the lottery!
