In P/S 5.5 the line tool made a "bi 1

In P/S 5.5 the line tool made a "bitmap" line, plain and simple.

In 6.0 it seems to make a "vector" line that "highlights" itself in the layers below.

Is there a way to make the line tool act as it did in 5.5?
I just want to see the line with no layer "highlighting".

I tried the pencil and it's somewhat ok.

One problen is it doesn't have anti-aliasing, or I can't see how to turn it on.

The second problem is I can't find the majic way to release a line after drawing like the line tool did.

What I mean is when I draw a (pencil with shift) horizontal line followed by a (pencil with shift) vertical line beneath it, the pencil tries to connect to the previous line end point. There has to be a way (key?) to stop that.

And I can't seen to get the pencil with shift key diagonal to work.

Hi,

If you want antialiasing then use the paint brush.

To draw a perfect horizontal or vertical line click and hold then hold shift and continue drawing.

To draw a perfect diagonal line, click and release then hold shift, and click where you want the end of the line to be.

Alternatively you can also just draw a vertical or horizontal line, then goto free tranform (Ctrl+T) and angle it.

Thanks very much

I'll use the paintbrush for lines with antialiasing.

I'll "click and release" before "shift draw line" to keep lines separate or draw perfect diags.

Tried then both and they were fine.
