Has anyone had a problem with in-mail on an IPKII where people that call in from time to time cannot hear the auto attendant greeting. They just hear dead air. Seems to be long distance calls that this happens to but im not sure if they are the only calls.

From what I hear, the in-mail is rubbish! Even the instructors at NEC said not to even think of using it. I was just at an NEC product forum, all the other installers said they cause more trouble then they are worth.
just passing along what I heard. We will not install them.

In-Mail is great. I have installed plenty and have not had any issues. There was 2 issues that I know of.
1. The calling party DTMF does not register and the fix isavailable from NTAC for this issue.
2. Outgoing message notification locks up after a period of time and this too was fixed with an upgade in CPU software available from NTAC.
Most people are quick to label something junk when it is new and they do not know how to use it. Once you learn the In-Mail operation you will be surprised at its capabilites for the cost. It does just about everything the Active Voice does minus email integration.
On one other note. Have never (touch wood) had a message waiting light complaint (won't go on, won't go off) on an In-Mail. How many of your VM's can you say that about.
I'd like to know your NEC instuctors name. The ones I know all like the In-Mail.
